We are teaching the latest research results in the field of process related behaviour and changes of milk and milk products as well as plant based products during storation.
On a pilot scale, the affiliated Dairy for Research and Training can run most different mechanical and thermal procedures individually or in combination. So technical processes of the milk processing can be reproduced and innovative technologies can be developed and tested.
The Milk Transfer Center (TZM) is point of contact and service provider für milk processing companies and their suppliers. It was initiated by the University of Hohenheim, Dept. Soft Matter Science and Dairy Technology (Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jörg Hinrichs) in cooperation with the LAZBW in Wangen/Allgäu to support the transfer of scientific understanding into practice.
